Direct marketer Concepts Direct Inc., Longmont, CO, said yesterday that it completed the sale of the Colorful Images business to Current USA Inc., Colorado Springs, CO. Terms of the sale, which was completed Sept. 11, were not disclosed.
Colorful Images sells address and specialty labels, checks, stationery, cards, apparel, gifts, home décor and home office products via the Colorful Images catalog and a Web site, colorfulimages.com.
“The addition of the Colorful Images brand is a great strategic fit with our other consumer catalogs,” Current USA president Dave Humbert said in a statement. The company is a direct marketer of stationary, gift wrap, cards and gifts.
Concepts will provide transitional services through December while Current completes the merger of the Colorful Images business into its operation, according to the statement.
Concepts Direct continues to operate its Linda Anderson, The Music Stand, Garfield Stuff, Colorful Characters and New Bargains brands and catalog businesses.
