Concepts Direct, Longmont, CO, a publicly held catalog marketer, announced yesterday that its sales were down 42 percent to $11.2 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1999. Its sales for the nine months ended Sept. 30 were down 31 percent to $34.8 million. The company’s mailing of 62 percent fewer catalogs in the third quarter and expenses related to Internet development accounted for the losses, said chairman and CEO Phillip A. Wiland in a press statement.
Concepts Direct catalogs include Colorful Images, Linda Anderson, Linda Anderson’s Collectibles, the Music Stand and Snoopy.
