CDNow, Fort Washington, PA, and Dr Pepper/7 Up, Plano, TX, will team up on a joint promotion using custom music CDs as incentives for teens to buy specially marked 7 Up products.
The under-the-cap contest, called “Tune into 7 Up,” offers $90 million in custom CD prizes seeded over 75 million 7 Up products. The contest will run until September.
Winners will be able to log on to a special CDNow site where they can enter a code and create a custom CD of songs from 135 artists across several categories.
The program will be supported online by CDNow and with point-of-purchase materials nationwide.
