Media Auction, San Diego, last month began online auctioning at its site, www.MediaAuction.com, for 30- and 60-minute periods of TV broadcast time for infomercials to DRTV agencies and marketers. In less than a month, Media Auction said it has close to 100 buyer members. Auctions, which are conducted online in real time, will close each business day at 3 p.m. EST.
Media Auction said more than 175 stations and five national cable networks have signed up to offer air time. Stations from markets such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Denver, Las Vegas and Miami have taken part.
