Yahoo said yesterday that it will be the exclusive search engine for Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of The Boeing Co., which offers in-flight Internet services.
Yahoo and Connexion entered into a multiyear, Web and sponsored search distribution agreement, wherein passengers who connect to the Internet via Connexion will be served Yahoo's Web and sponsored search results via a co-branded search results page.
Yahoo Search will be provided near the end of the year on more than 100 routes daily worldwide.
“We live in an age of connectivity where information should be easily accessible, regardless of time, location or device,” said Bill Demas, senior vice president of Partner Solutions for Yahoo Search Marketing.
