Next week, upscale style arbiter Bergdorf Goodman will expand into the home d?cor category with the launch of its first standalone home catalog.
On Monday, Bergdorf Goodman, New York, will mail the 16-page Decorative Home book to all of its customers. The book is divided into five themes: curiosity cabinet, classical dining, casual table, boudoir and Art Deco bar.
“This is the first time we are exhibiting the full lifestyle, a plethora of merchandise styled together to created a personalized environment,” said Nicholas Manville, vice president and divisional merchandise manager at Decorative Home, in an e-mail interview. He added that previously, Bergdorf Goodman would include home d?cor in its apparel or gift books with a focus on a single item.
The home catalog is scheduled to be an annual book.
