BCC Software's MOVE Manager to Incorporate NCOALink

BCC Software Inc., Rochester, NY, has been certified by the U.S. Postal Service as an NCOALink interface developer and distributor.

The certification lets BCC use NCOALink technology in MOVE Manager, an option that enhances BCC's Mail Manager 2010 mail-preparation software.

NCOALink is a new USPS product designed to provide greater access to the USPS Change of Address database. NCOALink technology lets mailers update mailing lists with address changes before they are entered into the mail stream.

The full National Change of Address data had been available to a limited number of USPS licensees via the USPS FASTforward process — a hardware solution providing 13 months of NCOA data — available as a USPS-approved alternative.

The USPS said that NCOALink technology will replace NCOA and FASTforward Mailing List Correction on Sept. 30, 2004, and Sept. 30, 2005, respectively.

With NCOALink technology, MOVE Manager will be available in three configurations: End User; Limited Service Provider; and Full Service Provider. Each corresponds to a different USPS NCOALink service level. These represent upgrades from the existing MOVE Manager product, which provides licensees with access to the USPS FASTforward database.

License fees for MOVE Manager start at $4,300 for the End-User configuration. Additional fees from the USPS apply. Special upgrade pricing will be available for current licensees of BCC's MOVE Manager option featuring FASTforward.
