Audiouniverse.com, Los Angeles, will give away one free audiobook worth $20 to each of the first 1,000 visitors who register for its free online newsletter at www.audiouniverse.com
The giveaway is tailored to the launch of AudioUniverse.com, a division of NewStar Media Inc., which will market audiobooks on the Net.
Registrants can choose from a list of authors, including Sidney Sheldon, Sandra Brown, Sara Paretsky, Jack Higgins, Harold Robbins and Paul Theroux.
“It is designed to give initial visitors a taste of our offerings” said executive vice president Howard Cohl.
