Audio Book Club Inc., Morristown, NJ, announced yesterday its agreement to launch a strategic marketing alliance with online auction company, bidnow.com.
The two companies will integrate their marketing efforts through co-branded online campaigns and cross-promoted Web site banner advertising following the upcoming launch of Audio Book Club’s new media portal at www.mediabay.com. The new media portal will also be linked to bidnow.com’s Web site at www.bidnow.com.
In addition, bidnow.com said it will soon unveil bidnow.com Classics, bidnow.com Liquidations, and bidnow.com TV. In the interim, Audio Book Club will give all 2 million of its current customers, a pre-registered membership ID for access to the bidnow.com Web site.

through its membership club which markets and sells audiobooks through direct mail catalogs and the Internet at www.audiobookclub.com.
The company says it is proceeding with its planned investment in bidnow.com through Quantum Partners LDC (“Quantum”). Details were not disclosed.
