AthleteDirect.com said yesterday that surfing legend Kelly Slater has signed a deal with the company. AthleteDirect.com hosts sites for more than 250 professional athletes that feature statistics, audio, video and personal essays written by the athletes themselves. Slater is a six-time world surfing champion and a former star of “Baywatch.” Slater’s personal site, xx.athletedirect.com, will launch on April 2.
