In an effort to target the wireless market, Ant Farm Interactive has partnered with Avesair Inc., a firm that serves ads, content and commerce for wireless service providers and their customers.
The firms will develop advertising and marketing programs for wireless carriers using Avesair's technology. Ant Farm clients will be able to provide their customers with targeted marketing promotions and offers via personal digital assistants and cell phones.
Ant Farm's clients include ApartmentGuide.com, Match.com, Jackpot.com, eGulliver.com, .tv, LastMinuteTravel.com, Yamacraw.org, ProActTechnologies.com and CleverIsland.com. Services provided by Ant Farm, Atlanta, include customer acquisition and relationship marketing, interactive branding, research and analysis.
According to market researcher Ovum, interactive advertising across all platforms is expected to generate $83 billion by 2005. Mobile markets are expected to account for 20 percent of the total, according to Avesair, which quoted Ovum research.
Headquartered near Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, Avesair allows carriers to develop targeting capability based on the consumer's interest and geographic data. Nokia Venture Partners and New Things funded Avesair.
