Anik appointed JCPenney director of brand marketing

JC Penney Company Inc. has named Ruby Anik as senior vice president and director of brand marketing, reporting to chief marketing officer Mike Boylson.

Anik most recently served at senior vice president, marketing communications and business operations as Best Buy, where she direct all marketing communications disciplines for Best Buy, including brand public relations, event marketing, advertising strategy, advertising spending and creative development and execution throughout North America. She also led Best Buy’s in-house agency.

At JC Penney, Anik will oversee the development and execution of the company’s brand marketing strategy, articulating the retailer’s offering of style, quality at smart prices and insure the consistent execution of the JCPenney brand in all messaging.

Anik has also worked for The Pillsbury Company as director of advertising and media, Euro RSCG Tatham, as a senior partner and Young & Rubicam. She received her masters diploma from the University of Mumbai.
