Amazon Services Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon.com that provides Amazon's technical and retailing expertise to online retailers, said yesterday it would offer Bigfoot Interactive's e-mail technology platform to its retail partners.
Amazon Services, Seattle, will make available New York-based Bigfoot's DREAM e-mail marketing platform. The platform includes messaging and delivery optimization services, acquisition services and a “unique retail marketing automation tool kit,” according to Bigfoot.
Bigfoot's automation tool kit lets online merchants develop relevant e-mail communications and promotions based on a customer's profile, preferences or purchase behavior. Modules within the tool kit include welcome messages, order and shipping confirmations, dynamic upsell and cross-sell triggers and shopping cart abandonment triggers.
