Alterian, an analytically led integrated marketing software firm, has announced four new senior appointments within its marketing team, heralding the next phase in its global marketing strategy to help drive company growth.
The new roles encompass all disciplines, from corporate to product marketing and partner development, at a global and regional level, Chicago-based Alterian said.
Jason McNamara has been appointed chief marketing officer, a new role created to spearhead the marketing team. Reporting to David Eldridge, CEO, Mr. McNamara is responsible for directing overall marketing strategy. Previously, he was divisional president at Alterian, leading the online division. Mr. McNamara was also CEO of Dynamics Direct Inc. – the e-mail and online marketing software firm acquired by Alterian in 2006 – and directed its successful integration with Alterian. Other roles included senior management positions at Cambridge Technology Partners and Firstlogic Inc., which was acquired by Business Objects.
Bob Barker, Bob Hale and Joe Stanhope have been appointed to three senior positions in the marketing group, reporting to Jason McNamara.
Bob Barker joins Alterian as vice president of corporate marketing, another newly created position. Mr. Barker’s primary objective is to develop Alterian’s messaging and communications activity. Prior to Alterian, he was Marketing Director for EMEA at SAS, and his 20-year career within the software marketing industry has included positions at NCR Teradata, Oracle and Epiphany.
Mr. Hale has been appointed vice president of business development for Alterian, where he is responsible for generating increased interest in Alterian’s Marketing Services Platform from new markets and building referencability and methodologies that can be handed over to the regional sales teams for rollout. Mr. Hale founded RioLabs and idCentric – the data warehousing and data quality division of Firstlogic Inc. – and came to Alterian through the acquisition of Dynamics Direct Inc., where he was vice president of business development.
Joe Stanhope has been appointed director of global product marketing, following his successful tenure as director of marketing for Alterian North America. His role includes creating programs to define, support and market ongoing product developments, as well as manage analyst relations. Before joining Alterian in 2004, Stanhope was vice president of marketing at MarketerNet LLC, and he also held various sales and marketing positions at Experian.
