Alorica Acquires Call Center

Alorica Inc., a customer relationship management agency, has bought a 30,000-square-foot call center to enhance its customer-support capabilities.

The 400-seat center in Clovis, NM, formerly belonged to an Internet service provider, DSL and Web-hosting services firm, Alorica said. The center has an existing, trained staff that will be kept on to serve Alorica customers.

The identity of the call center's former owner was not disclosed. Alorica also declined to reveal financial details of the agreement.

Chino, CA-based Alorica was founded in November 1998 and one month later bought a customer interaction center from Packard Bell/NEC Inc. Its client list includes NEC Computers, American Express, U.S. Robotics Inc. and eMachines, a provider of low-cost computer systems.
