Alliance’s Canadian loyalty renews partnership with Shell

Loyalty solutions provider Alliance Data Systems Corporation has signed a multi-year renewal agreement with Shell Canada Products — one of Canada’s largest oil companies — to remain a national sponsor in Alliance’s Canadian Air Miles Reward Program.

About two thirds of Canadian households actively collect reward miles in the program.

 They can earn miles, which are essentially points, at more than 100 brand-name sponsors which represent thousands of retail and service locations in Canada. The miles can be redeemed for more than 800 rewards from companies such as Disney, Sony, Apple, American Airlines and Hilton. Shell is both a top-five sponsor and a rewards supplier.

The Air Miles Reward Program launched in 1992, and Shell has been a sponsor since 1993.

Shell Canada Products operates more than 1,500 retail service stations under the brands Shell, Turbo, Payless and Beaver and employs more than 2,500 people in Canada.
