American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ, has formed a new division to help list brokers order and recommend compiled lists. The division will serve as a clearing house for all compiled lists on the market — including its own compiled properties — and a resource to help brokers sort through similarly named files. A “For Brokers Only” hotline has been established at 800/403-8646 that is staffed by compiled list experts. ALC expects that this new service will aid brokers by eliminating the need to contact multiple compilers and providing higher commissions by passing on bulk-order discounts to the brokers. The For Brokers Only division is headed by newly appointed vice president Stacey Girt.
