Agistix Inc., a provider of logistics management automation software, now utilizes Oracle’s software as a service platform.
The platform, which consists of Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle Enterprise Manager, allows Agistix to build and manage software as a service (SaaS) applications on a secure and pre-integrated platform.
According to David Fox, CEO of Agistix, Oracle’s software “provides the most robust and most scalable solution for our business to really grow.”
“We’re excited to be partnering with [Oracle],” he added. “It’s all about being able to scale and grow our business, which is part of what the whole value proposition is about.”
Agistix currently provides clients with full visibility into their shipments in order to control costs of logistics.
“We’ve been able to streamline our business,” Fox said. “The database is the most important component of our business because we have a central depository for all the transactions that have upwards of thousands of components attached to them and we’re able to track them all.”
Because the software is delivered as an on-demand application, Agistix says that its customers do not need significant IT resources for installation or maintenance of software.
