Agency Preview Signs 29 Publicis Shops

The Web-based global database of advertising agencies and their creative work known as Agency Preview announced this week an agreement to post the work of 29 Publicis shops — all part of Europe's largest agency network.

Used by marketers and advertisers in identifying the work of advertising and design agencies from around the world, the Web site (www.adforum.com) provides a means for consultants and prospective clients to review an agency's record of work as well. The forum's capabilities include showcasing options for a variety of campaigns including broadcast, print and multimedia presentations.

“After reviewing all the Web sites that purport to represent ad agencies and their work, we selected Adforum,” said Joanna Baldwin, Publicis' vice president of international business development. Baldwin said Adforum's superior functionality and data capabilities “give us confidence that this will be an important source for researching agency capabilities, and we anticipate that for Publicis it will be an excellent source for new business.”

More than 30 advertising agencies in the United States and Europe have already posted data to AdForum.com. And in the next 18 months, the company said it plans to host listings for thousands of agencies from “all points on the compass.”

Owned and operated by MayDream, a US-Euro company seeking to become a major player in the professional Internet community, AdForum's site includes searchable agency information such as size, location, competencies, specialties, billing clients and awards. Subscribing agencies can also have links to their agency Web sites, as well as e-mail contacts and animated presentations detailing their services.
