AdStar.com, New York, yesterday reported its revenue for the first quarter ended March 31 rose 40 percent to $571,000 from $407,000 a year ago.
The company, which provides placement of print and online classifieds, attributed the increase directly to 6,500 classified ad transactions generated by advertisers through its Internet portal Advertise123.com and privately labeled Advertise123.com-powered Web sites.
