AbleCommerce, Vancouver, WA, is expected to release the third version of its flagship Web design software product this month.
New features include:
• The ability for a site to offer a second currency. The viewer sees an approximate currency rate exchange, which may vary slightly from the rate available when the credit card transaction is processed. The system also calculates the appropriate taxes and tariffs.
• The ability to bundle products counted in inventory as separate products. A computer and printer may be sold together for a bundled price, for example, and at the same time, the components can be sold separately.
• A WYSIWYG editor, which allows novice Web designers to enter text into their pages without using Internet code such as HTML and Java.
• QuickStore Builder, a template-based design program for graphics that requires no knowledge of Internet code.
AbleCommerce, a division of AbleSolutions Corp., will target small offline businesses looking to go online as well as Internet service providers interested in renting the product to clients.
The cost of the product will range from $995 to $2,495, depending on the order configuration.
