Hickory Farms has been added as a featured retailer on the DesktopMall Web site, Sharp Technology Inc. said yesterday.
Desktop Mall Internet software provides a direct connection to brand-name stores and alerts shoppers to sales and special promotions on their desktops without fear of being spammed.
The site contains more than 40 retailers, including Wal-Mart.com, Disneystore.com, Hallmark, Omaha Steaks, Brooks Brothers and The Sharper Image.
Desktop Mall was created by Sharp Technology, Houston, which specializes in developing Internet security, content management and e-commerce software products.
