LLKFB Wins Long Distance Account

Long Distance International, Fort Lauderdale, FL, has named Lieber Levett Koenig Farese Babcock, New York, as its first agency of record for its $10 million account.

The company’s products and services include domestic and long-distance service, casual calling, international callback, prepaid and account-based phone cards, toll-free calling and dedicated access for larger clients. The company was founded in 1993 and serves primarily small- to medium-sized businesses and residential customers in the United States and the United Kingdom. It currently reports annual revenues of $60 million and is in the process of expanding throughout Europe.

LDI has been looking for a marketing partner to oversee all communications for its products and services, said Richard Blume, the company’s chief operating officer.

“With our recent capitalization, we are entering a major new stage of growth. We want to build a top-tier brand while meeting our aggressive growth goals,” Blume said.

LLKFB will be responsible for strategy, development and production of advertising and collateral materials, media planning and buying, tracking of results, and Web site design and maintenance.

“It is a perfect situation for demonstrating how the principles of direct marketing can be applied to a broader array of communications services,” said LLKFB chairman and CEO Bob Lieber.
