America Online previewed a service at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that allows customers to e-mail, chat and receive show information using their televisions. The service will compete with Microsoft’s WebTV. AOL also said it is looking to add a feature that will make it possible to store and pause television broadcasts. Pricing was not available.
