NBA.com Lets Fans Create Personal Video Archive

NBA.com has introduced a free service called My Highlights, which lets viewers store streaming video of game action in a personal archive.

The official site of the National Basketball Association, New York, has been posting highlight video files of its playoff games 10 to 15 minutes after the end of each quarter of the contests. Viewers can record their favorite playoff moments on their hard drives for future viewing. The NBA also has made available archives from the regular season.

The league said it has more than 350,000 registered users who have been actively using the site during the playoffs.

“One of our major goals is for viewers to have a personalized experience every time they log on to the site,” said Brian Flinn, spokesman for the league. “This is as personalized as it gets.”
