Delta Debuts Online Statements for SkyMiles Members

Delta Air Lines has begun an online statement and newsletter program, which will let its SkyMiles frequent-flier members receive monthly account statements and promotional newsletters via e-mail and online.

Members who sign up for the e-mail service will be sent an e-mail reminder prompting them to check their statement activity and mileage balances through a link to delta.com.

The online statements include a monthly recap of account activity and an account history view, which provides an up-to-date record of the member's account activity for the previous six months. The SkyMiles e-mail newsletter also updates subscribers on offers from Delta and its partners.

Consumers can sign up for the e-mail program through the E-Mail Programs link on the Delta Web site.

The Delta SkyMiles program offers mileage-building offers through co-branded credit cards from American Express, partnerships with WorldCom Inc., a variety of national hotel chains, car rental companies, cruise lines, home mortgage agencies, flower and gift merchants and a partnership with E*Trade.

In a separate announcement yesterday, floral cataloger Calyx & Corolla said members of the United Airlines Mileage Plus frequent-flier program can now get bonus miles when buying items from the cataloger.

Calyx & Corolla will give a minimum of 750 bonus miles to Mileage Plus members when they make floral purchases of $60. The cataloger also will add an additional 100 bonus miles per order.
