Access Direct Systems said yesterday that it purchased Acxiom Print and Electronic Distribution Services from Acxiom Corp. Terms were not disclosed.
Acxiom Print and Electronic Distribution Services, Little Rock, AR, specializes in personalized, transactional direct mail. The company will be integrated into Access Direct and be called Access Express.
Access Direct produces 1 billion pieces of mail annually for blue-chip clients in financial services, publishing and telecommunications. Access Express is expected to continue to produce more than 100 million transactional mailings annually.
Access Direct said the new division’s digital technology — which builds invoices, statements and customer notifications that are printed and mailed within 48 hours of receipt of data transfers — will support its suite of direct mail services.
Access Direct, Farmingdale, NY, said the new division will provide customers more choices for their direct mail requirements. It also will complement Access CRM, Access Direct’s wholly owned subsidiary that offers customer relationship marketing solutions and learning management systems via the Internet.
