As a follow up to the recent tidbit on Kevin Ryan’s Web 2.0 gem ShopWiki, the firm has landed $6.2 million of private equity funding from Generation Partners. Generation Partners is not new to search — they were a lead in iCrossing’s 2005 round of $13 million. Managing partner John Hawkins, who sits on iCrossing’s board, will also be joining ShopWiki’s board.
IAC has also entered the shopping market, recently launching Pronto.com.

And neither was Panama, or the Panama Canal, or Yahoo’s Panama project. The new search platform has been pushed back to the end of the year.
Verizon Buys Inceptor Assets
