The Chicago Association of Direct Marketing named Philip R. May yesterday as its 26th annual Charles S. Downs Chicago Direct Marketer of the Year.
May, senior vice chairman of Cramer-Krasselt, is a past president of CADM and the CADM Educational Foundation. He will receive the award at a luncheon on March 29 during the two-day 52nd annual Chicago DM Days & Expo.
May joined Chicago-based Cramer-Krasselt in 1982 and helped build an integrated direct marketing division for the fourth-largest independent marketing and communications agency in the United States. The agency’s annual revenues are more than $500 million.
Downs was the first president of the association, founded in 1955.
