BPA debuts Interactive Accreditation offering

Media auditor BPA Worldwide said members who successfully complete certification for an ad server system would qualify for BPA Interactive Accreditation.

BPA’s new accreditation is designed to offer better transparency and accountability for media buyers and sellers. The Shelton, CT-based organization seeks to identify those ad server systems that comply with an improved set of audit tests.

The BPA Interactive Accreditation complies with Interactive Advertising Bureau guidelines. Added benchmarks include a disaster recovery/business continuity process review, behavioral/activity-based filtering procedures and the reporting of the time at which data is considered final.

Burst Media Inc. becomes the first company to gain BPA’s Interactive Accreditation.

A board comprising media owners, advertising agencies and advertisers runs BPA. It audits more than 2,700 media properties, including 2,000 business-to-business publications, 600 consumer magazines and newspapers, 100 Web sites, events, newsletters, databases and assorted advertiser-supported media.
