A new advergaming and text messaging campaign by Church’s Chicken targets the urban youth market. The fast food franchise has partnered with Namco Bandai Games to release Afro Samurai, an animated video game. The game is being promoted in TV and radio ads, in-store merchandising and through The Livin’ Large Sweepstakes at www.churchs.com. Entrants also can opt in for e-mails from Church’s and Namco. Church’s also is embarking on a mobile campaign with Coca-Cola, in which users answer questions by mobile phone to receive coupons and enter weekly contests.
