Facebook tests auto banners

Facebook confirmed that it is testing a new self-service platform that suggests ad copy, as a kind of auto-banner ad maker.

According to ClickZ, after an advertiser enters a campaign’s URL, they are shown a “Suggest an Ad” button. By clicking on the ad, Facebook builds an ad for them using both text and images. An advertiser can then apply profile targeting to these FB-built ads.

Not sure how digital copyrights would feel about this, but I’m guessing the auto-ads don’t have the same human touch.
