800.com Expands Digital Camera Brand Offering

Electronics retailer 800.com Inc. on Friday said that it has signed Nikon, Pentax, Minolta and Toshiba to its list of digital camera manufacturer partners.

Terms of the agreements were not announced.

Portland, OR-based 800.com, also offers the Sony, Olympus, Kodak, Canon, Fuji, RCA and Argus digital camera brands. The company also markets the cameras via catalogs, which like its Web initiative, also offers items like DirecTV satellite units, movie videos and stereo equipment.

The online retailer has survived despite other electronics dot-coms having folded. In May, 800.com bought two defunct competitors, wireless phone retailer EverythingWireless and electronics site Roxy.com. 800.com attained their URLs, their databases that combined to 800,000 names, their catalog businesses and other creative assets.
