Yesmail's 'Holiday Gift' Looks to Spark Business

Yesmail.com is offering free e-mail names and other incentives to help clients improve their e-mail marketing campaigns this holiday season.

“Times are tight,” said Stephanie Walsey, yesmail's director of marketing. “E-mail is a great way to attain and retain customers.”

The program, called Yesmail's Holiday Gift package, will give most marketers about $17,000 of services for free, according to yesmail. The company also offers clients a white paper, “Meeting Customer (and ROI) Expectations This Holiday Season.”

Free e-mail names are the centerpiece of the gift package, which launched Oct. 1. Yesmail will double the names for clients' next e-mail marketing campaign through Dec. 31 when they buy 100,000 names or more. The first 25 clients to sign up get an additional 250,000 free e-mail names.

All the free names come from yesmail's network sites, Walsey said.

Another component of the package allows clients to add voice to their e-mail campaigns using ITXC's Push to Talk service. Yesmail resells the Push to Talk service to e-mail marketers on a cost-per-thousand basis.

Another program offers a complimentary strategy session on retention e-mail marketing, which will discuss how to increase customer loyalty and maximize value.

“We're also targeting industries and offering a 55-minute lunch seminar,” Walsey said. “Its purpose is to educate companies about the latest trends in e-mail marketing.”

Yesmail is promoting the campaign with banner ads on Web sites [including www.imarketingnews.com and www.dmnews.com], direct mail and e-mail. Walsey said that yesmail is sending letters by postal mail alerting clients to the promotion.

Because the fourth quarter is critical for many companies to drive revenue, she said, yesmail hopes to increase its business and possibly add clients through the promotion.

Walsey would not say how many companies had signed up.
