Software firm Siebel Systems Inc. and Internet company Yahoo Inc. yesterday announced an agreement in which Yahoo will use Siebel’s eBusiness software to improve its marketing efforts. Siebel said eBusiness would allow Yahoo to track marketing opportunities received through the Web, phone or other source. Another potential use of the software is its Encyclopedia function that entails a set of marketing programs that can be simultaneously accessed. Yahoo said it would also use the software to route marketing information to the appropriate sales representative or sales team.
