Worldata Introduces Online Count System with Ziff Davis Files

Worldata/WebConnect debuted its Online Count System for list brokers and users yesterday with access to the Ziff Davis Media files handled by its list management division.

“This is very similar to what compiled lists have been doing for some time, but this is the first system for response-oriented lists that we’re aware of,” said Jay Schwedelson, corporate vice president of Worldata/WebConnect, Boca Raton, FL.

The system allows users to access universe counts as well as state counts, metro area counts and SCF counts for free at the Worldata Web site. The Ziff Davis files available for counts are PC Magazine, Expert Gamer, Official U.S. Playstation Magazine, Smart Business Magazine, Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine, Computer Gaming World Magazine and Electronic Gaming Monthly.

However, Worldata plans to add all of its response files to the system eventually, Schwedelson said. Down the line, the company also hopes to offer Web-based list ordering through its Web site.

In addition to the count system, Worldata also announced that it has taken over list management of the Horizon House Publishing files, which include Telecommunications Magazine, Microwave Journal, Telecommunications Magazine International and Business Communications Review International.
