Worldata Debuts List Track Service

Worldata will introduce a Web-based list-management tracking system at the DMA List Day on Aug. 11 in New York that is designed to streamline the time and labor-intensive process of correspondence between brokers, managers and list owners and boost sales of its list-management properties.

List Track will let brokers access status reports, list-owner clearance, accounting clearance and shipping information at any time by clicking through the Web site of Worldata, Boca Raton, FL. The system is a free, value-added service for brokers.

“So much time is spent exchanging faxes and voice mails, so much money is going out the window this way. List Track adds more value to people's time,'' said Jay Schwedelson, corporate vice president at Worldata.

Clicking the List Track button at www.worldata.com links brokers to the List Track home page. The broker is prompted to enter their brokerage company and a password for entry into the system. Once logged on, the broker enters the list name and order number to obtain tracking information. As brokers click through the system, they will see banner advertising of Worldata's managed list properties and possibly information on employment opportunities. Worldata CEO Roy Schwedelson said the banners will be targeted to each broker based on their order entry data.

“All the major list companies have Web sites and are trying to inculcate their Web site into day-to-day marketing and service functions,'' said Roy Schwedelson, whose company also owns banner advertiser WebConnect. “We have the technology from advertisers on WebConnect's side being able to dial into the Web and going to private URLs for information. We felt this was a logical extension for our list brokers.''
