World Marketing, a direct marketing services firm in Omaha, NE, acquired rival Republic Mailing and Fulfillment, Dallas.
A privately held company founded in 1980, Republic has clients in cosmetics, retail, advertising and printing. It will merge with World Marketing's Dallas subsidiary, Lee Marketing Services, an end-to-end DM services firm.
“There was a good fit, and there was synergy between the two companies,” said Joe Ewers, president of Lee Marketing. “It gives us the opportunity to expand in some targeted industries that fit the product mix we offer.”
Republic will lose its name. Operating under the Lee name, the merged entities will offer services like lettershop, data processing, list services, database marketing, on-demand printing and fulfillment.
World Marketing's eight companies offer agency advertising services, digital printing, database management, product and literature fulfillment, lettershop and rebate processing. Ace Marketing, Redstone Communications and MBS Multimode are other World Marketing firms.
