Workshop to Address Recession, Terrorism Challenges

How to use direct marketing while the country copes with a recession, terrorism and anthrax will be the focus of a workshop and seminar this month in Stamford, CT.

The event will offer practical solutions for companies of any size, said organizer Joshua Moritz, professor in the direct marketing master's program at New York University. Among the topics to be discussed: how current events affect response rates across various industries; modeling and database techniques that can increase response; and how to ensure vendors are operating securely.

Speakers include Brian Fitzpatrick, sales director for the New York metro area at the U.S. Postal Service; Ann Zeller, vice president of information and special projects at the Direct Marketing Association; and Jennifer Panaro, marketing manager at Pitney Bowes.
