Wireless Viewers to Get New York Times Web Sites

The New York Times Co. and wireless technology firm i3 Mobile recently signed a deal that will make content from the news organization's collection of Web sites available to wireless computer or cell phone users.

i3 Mobile, Stamford, CT, will be the exclusive wireless provider under the agreement, which also calls for the content at the Web sites to be sub-branded as “powered by i3 Mobile.” The New York Times Co. is the owner of NYTimes.com and Boston.com, among other sites.

Information from those sites that will be available to wireless users includes global business news, stock quotes, book and movie reviews, nightlife information, classified ads, sports scores and trivia. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
