San Diego Comic-Con came and went, and though the international convention for all things nerdy has wrapped, it’s left a burning trail of hype and discussion in its wake.

Fans obviously make up a bulk of the post-Comic-Con discourse, but marketers are similarly vocal about the event, particularly its role as a marketing conference, and the marketing that goes on for the various comics-based properties throughout the annual weekend.
