Voice Messaging Service Doesn’t Require Software

MessageBay yesterday introduced its VoicePortal system, offering Web companies a voice messaging service that can be implemented with a non-software, cut-and-paste process for their Internet sites. The program comes in HTML and PHP3 versions, although the Santa Clara, CA-based voice messaging firm didn’t make pricing available.

Interested parties can apply for the service at www.messagebay.com by filling out a 3-step form to get the needed coding, which they in turn cut and paste into their pages. VoicePortal enables site visitors to send voice messages without file attachments to e-mail addresses and save them for up to 60 days. Memory specifications for users include a plug-in capability of 32k for Internet Explorer and 46k for Netscape.
