The Vermont Teddy Bear Co. adds to its bag of tricks this fall with a new catalog of handbags, a company spokewoman said yesterday.
The Shelburne, VT, company mails the first The Gift Bag Boutique catalog in late November.
“We are always trying to keep on top of trends and find the latest gift trends out there,” spokesperson Nicole L'Huillier said of the new catalog. Handbags offer another gift choice for female customers while diversifying the company's offerings so that sales are less driven by holidays such as St. Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
The 48-page catalog offers more than 80 handbags that are a mix of designer and private labels, as well as 120 accessories such as scarves, wallets and earrings. Prices will range from $39.95 to $300.
All orders will arrive in a gift box shaped like a handbag that will include a free lip conditioner and a gift card.
The book will mail to a combination of existing customers and prospects.
