ValueClick Boosts Advertisers

Cost-per-click ad network ValueClick (www.valueclick.com), Santa Barbara, CA, announced it has added eight new advertisers, which will be appearing on its network of 10,000 sites. The new advertisers are ParentTime, Macy's, Ask Jeeves, c/net, Salon Magazine, Sony, Intel and Consumer Reporters.

ValueClick has a network of 10,000 mid-sized publishing sites. An advertisers' banner ad will go out in a general rotation cycle appearing on all of the 10,000 sites or in a number of the 14 advertising categories it offers.

For advertisers buying options include the run-of-network program, which costs 35 cents per click, while those looking to target more tightly can use category advertising, which costs 50 cents per click. The advertising categories are computers and technology, shopping, sports and recreation, women, arts and humanities, home and family, news, entertainment and media, travel, health, business and finance, education and science, games and automotive.

A spokeswoman for ValueClick said it is currently serving 7.5 million ad impressions a day and delivering 2.5 million clicks per month to each of its advertisers.

ValueClick also offers its clients a free tracking and measurement solution called VisiTrack. According to ValueClick, the solution gives advertisers the tools for analyzing and adjusting their banner campaigns “to maximize their return on investment.”

The eight new advertisers bring the total number of companies working with ValueClick to 65. Other advertisers include ProFlowers, Forbes, Microsoft's Hotmail, Talk City and OnNow.
