Val-Pak to Provide Local Coupons for UtopiAd Members

Cooperative coupon mailer Val-Pak and UtopiAd yesterday said they formed an agreement to offer customized Val-Pak coupons to UtopiAd’s members, who are paid to view targeted advertising messages online. UtopiAd’s network of nearly 700,000 members will be able to see Val-Pak coupons from merchants in their neighborhoods by clicking on a Val-Pack button on the UtopiAd Web site.

A UtopiAd spokeswoman said she expected the coupons to become available to Utopiad’s members by mid-July. Consumers will be able to print the coupons from their computers for use at merchants in their area.

UtopiAd, Reston, VA, normally pays its members 40 percent of the revenues that it charges its advertisers, but the spokeswoman said the companies had not yet determined how they would compensate members for viewing the Val-Pak coupons.

Val-Pak, Largo, FL, is a division of Cox Target Media. The company offers its coupons online through www.ValPak.com and through postal mail delivery to about 50 million households across North America.
