V12 Group added a “send a friend” tool to its e-mail prospecting service, the multichannel marketing solutions provider said yesterday.
The send-a-friend feature allows recipients of marketing messages to forward e-mails to up to three people through a link and instructions in the e-mail. This technology is complimentary for V12 clients, designed to encourage viral marketing, the New York company said.
Forwarding activity will be included in V12's standard and custom delivery and response reports.
“Those clients that have tested the new send-a-friend feature have enjoyed a noticeable increase in the overall performance of their e-mail campaigns, not just on click-through but also on conversion,” Kym Vance, V12 vice president of marketing services, said in a statement.
