USPS Web Site Redesign Debuts Today

The U.S. Postal Service's redesigned Web site debuts today.

The redesign lets visitors to usps.com find information faster and conduct transactions more easily, the USPS said. The site also will have a fresh look and new content.

“We made changes based on what our customers told us needed to change — and how important those changes are to them,” said Jane Langdon, manager of usps.com.

Information will be organized around customer needs such as buying stamps, growing their business, sending or receiving mail and packages, or sending money and payments. There's also a link to corporate news and information.

There will be an A-to-Z listing of products and information, the USPS said, and a upgraded search tool to make it easier and quicker for customers to get the information they need.

The postal service said the site also will offer more opportunities to sell customers USPS products and services that they may not have considered.

“Clearly, usps.com supports the Transformation Plan by using technology to enhance the value of the services we offer our customers,” Langdon said.
