USPS to Add Options to Mailing Online

The U.S. Postal Service said yesterday that it soon will launch an enhancement to its NetPost Mailing Online service: Business Reply and Courtesy Reply envelopes.

NetPost Mailing Online lets mailers electronically transmit letters, postcards, fliers, self-mailers, newsletters and other documents, with their mailing lists, to the USPS via the agency’s Web site, www.usps.com.

The electronic files are securely transmitted to print sites nearest the recipient’s address. Then, the documents are printed, addressed, applied with postage and transported to the post office for processing and delivery.

Through the enhancement, businesses will be able to include return envelopes to increase responses. Two options will be available: postage-paid envelopes and postage-required envelopes.
