USPS Offers Peek at Revamped Postal Forum

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service offered an update yesterday on the revised National Postal Forum that will take place Sept. 19-22 in Washington.

The USPS condensed two shows into one. The spring forum had been scheduled for Seattle this month. The forums are a combination educational conference and trade show.

This year's forum has been expanded into a four-day conference. It will include multi-presentation symposiums on marketing, package services, remittance mail and periodicals. There also will be a government day, small business day, periodicals day and a National Postal Customer Council leadership conference.

Participating companies include Verizon, General Motors, American Century Investments, Draft Worldwide, ESPN The Magazine, United Health Group, AT&T, Bank of America and Phoenix Hecht.

The workshops have been expanded to more than 100 and will focus on address quality for business growth, electronic feedback opportunities for mailers and direct mail analysis and performance measurement.

The USPS said it will have one forum next year, in the spring in Nashville, TN.
