USPS Certifies Acxiom for NCOALink

Acxiom Corp. has been certified by the U.S. Postal Service as a full-service provider of its new NCOALink technology to help mailers update addresses with enhanced timeliness, security and cost control, the company said yesterday.

NCOALink replaces the postal service's National Change of Address and FASTforward Mailing List Correction products that mailers use to update mailing lists. NCOALink replaces NCOA on Sept. 30 and FASTforward Mailing List Correction one year later.

The USPS will give full-service providers a 48-month NCOALink product change-of-address data set updated weekly. Full-service providers pay a $175,000 base annual license fee.

Acxiom and Anchor Computer, Farmingdale, NY, are the only companies currently awarded full-service provider licenses from the USPS.

Acxiom, Little Rock, AR, said that potential results for mailers are even greater as Acxiom couples the NCOALink change-of-address technology with its own grid-based solutions architecture. Grid architecture, developed and tested at Acxiom over several years, is now a core element of the company's data processing capabilities.
